CANADIAN NATIONAL POPS/SOS MEET 2004

 

On 2nd, 3rd, and 4th of July the Can/Pops/Sos Meet was held at Skydive Burnaby Inc.

The 2nd  was a practice day and also to register for the meet. The idea was to have every one ready to go by 9 o’clock on Saturday morning.  By 9:30 the 4 way scrambles were drawn and the teams were on their way to the plane.  What a great start.

            

The meet was finished by 6:30 – 7:00 and included 2 rounds scrambles, 3 rounds sport and traditional accuracy, 1 round hit and rock.

            

At 8 o’clock a great meal was prepared by ( Terry Sicurella  {Slick} and his people )

A fabulous steak dinner, baked potato, corn and all the trimmings.

At the award presentations Mr. George Harris was presented with his Gold Wings, (way to go George).

Brian diCenzo completed his 2000 jump during the r.w. scrambles.

Bernie Larkin had just prior to the meet completed his 3000 jump.

Hit and Rock winners:

1st place  Tom Zukowski   USA   5.15 seconds
2nd place  Brian diCenzo  CAN  5.53 seconds
3rd place  Bernie Larkin  CAN  6.80 seconds


Traditional Accuracy:

1st place  Tom Zukowski   USA   12 cms
2nd place
  Brian diCenzo  CAN 1.69 cms
3rd place  Bernie Larkin  CAN 3.79 cms


Sport Accuracy:

1st  place  Mic Sweeney       CAN  .65 cms
2nd 
place  Jim Cook          CAN   8.71 m
3rd 
place  Bruce Montgomery  CAN  12.04 m
